...One Child at a Time!
Each year, as Scout Elves leave the North Pole and arrive at the homes of the families they love, we hear the gleeful sounds of children. They’re spotting their Scout Elf friends for the first time that year—or meeting for the first time their very own Scout Elf, sent from Santa himself. Those of us who work with Santa love this moment most of all. Here’s why.
By design, The Elf on the Shelf® is a tradition with only two rules: you can’t touch the Scout Elf, and the Scout Elf can’t move when you’re watching. There are some simple guidelines that all children know: the Scout Elf comes to see you at the beginning of the holiday season, and usually returns to the North Pole with Santa on Christmas Eve; and during the holiday season, the Scout Elf flies back to Santa to report in on the day’s adventures. Beyond that, The Elf on the Shelf® has one enduring goal: to bring children and the grownups who love them together, amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, to share in the simple joys of Christmas magic.
The new Elf on the Shelf® holiday commercial includes some of the “elf homecoming” videos families have shared through the years. Check it out—and share your own videos with us on YouTube using hashtag #myelfishome. We can’t wait to see!
