CCA & B

CCA and B, the brainchild of The Elf on the Shelf® authors Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell, along with Chanda’s twin sister, Christa Pitts, is a private, family-owned publishing company based in Marietta, GA. Started from the ground up, this mother-daughters trio has taken the publishing industry by storm – going from rejection letters to a best-selling Christmas tradition that took root locally and spread like wildfire around the globe.

Created in 2005, nothing has held back CCA and B from reaching its goal to bring the timeless Christmas story of how Santa knows who is naughty and nice into the homes of families around the world. With Bell and Pitts working as co-CEOs, alongside their mom, there is nothing this spirited family can’t achieve.

In 2010, CCA and B was ranked on Inc. 500/5000’s list at #222, honored as the Georgia Small Business Persons of the Year, listed as a finalist for the Georgia Family Business of the Year award and the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, and deemed one of the Top 25 Small Businesses, for the second year in a row, by the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce in Cobb County, Georgia. Along with these honors, CCA and B received the Best Vendor Award by Learning Express in 2009 and the Best Toy Award by Learning Express in 2008.

Not only has CCA and B taken the world of business by storm, but they have also soared to the top of multiple best-sellers lists. The Elf on the Shelf has been listed on the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Publisher’s Weekly best-sellers list.

Despite their expansion with a national media campaign for Elf on the Shelf and recent work on the CCA and B and the Big Canoe Entertainment production of An Elf’s Story, a Christmas special written by Aebersold, Bell, and Pitts, this family-focused publishing company remains dedicated to preserving the tradition of Christmas magic and the family ties it has not only inspired for them, but for countless others across the nation.
